Unit prices and best buys
The bigger pack is not always the cheaper one. Work out the price of one unit, then compare packs on the same footing.

- the price of one item, or of one kilogram or one litre
To find a unit price, divide the price of the pack by the quantity in it.
Worked example: 6 plant pots for £9. 9 ÷ 6 = £1.50 for each pot.
