Terms
These are the terms for using Ledger Drill, on the website and in the Android app, and for buying Premium or a topic pack. By making an account or buying something you agree to them.
Who we are
Ledger Drill is run by Muhammad Gulraize Bilal Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 15584684. Its registered office is 8 Beechfield Street, Manchester, M8 0SG, United Kingdom. You can reach us at [email protected].
What Ledger Drill is
- It is bookkeeping practice: short rooms of reading and questions, marked at once.
- It is practice, not tax, accounting or legal advice. Do not rely on it to keep a real set of books or to file a return.
- It is in beta. An answer can be wrong. If one looks wrong, use "Report a mistake" under the question and we will look at it.
- It is independent. It is not affiliated with AAT or with any awarding body, and it is not a course that leads to a qualification.
- A certificate from Ledger Drill says you finished a path here. It is not a qualification.
Your account
- You can try questions with no account. An account keeps your marks.
- You must be 13 or over to make an account, and 18 or over to buy, or have a parent or guardian buy for you.
- Your username is public. It appears on your profile and in the tables, with your marks. Choose one you are happy for others to see.
- Keep your password to yourself. One account is for one person.
- You can delete your account, and your whole record with it, in your account at any time.
Free and Premium
- Some rooms are free. The rest need Premium, or a topic pack that covers them. The pricing page shows what each one opens and what it costs.
- Premium is a subscription, at £12 a month or a lower price for a year paid at once. The price you pay is the one shown when you buy.
- Premium renews by itself, each month or each year, until you cancel. We take the payment through Stripe.
- You can cancel at any time in your account. Premium then stays open until the end of the time you have paid for, and no more payments are taken.
- A topic pack is paid for once. It stays open on your account for as long as Ledger Drill runs.
- If we change a price, the new price applies from your next renewal, and we will tell you by email before that renewal.
Refunds
- If you change your mind within 14 days of buying Premium or a topic pack for the first time, write to [email protected] from the email address on your account and we will refund it in full.
- After those 14 days we do not refund part of a month or a year you have already paid for. Cancelling stops the next payment.
- If something you paid for does not work and we cannot put it right, we will refund it.
- None of this takes away the rights the law gives you as a consumer.
Buying in the Android app
In the Android app, Premium and topic packs are sold through Google Play at the price Google Play shows. That price is higher than on the website, because it carries Google Play's own charges. Google takes the payment, so you cancel a subscription in Google Play, and a refund for a Google Play purchase is asked for through Google Play. Whatever you buy in the app opens on the website too, and the other way round.
Marks, tables and badges
Marks, levels, badges and places in a table are part of the practice. They have no money value and cannot be exchanged for anything. We may correct a record that was earned by cheating or through a fault.
Fair use
- Use Ledger Drill for your own learning. Do not copy the rooms or questions in bulk, sell them on, or use a program to collect them.
- Do not use a program to answer questions for you, share an account, or try to get at other learners' details.
- Do not pick a username that is abusive or that pretends to be someone else.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. If you had paid for time you could not use, and you had not broken the terms yourself, we refund that time.
Our content
The rooms, questions, worked figures and design belong to Muhammad Gulraize Bilal Ltd. You may use them for your own study. Anything else needs our written permission.
What we are responsible for
- We try to keep Ledger Drill working and correct, but we do not promise it will always be available or free of mistakes.
- We are not responsible for a loss that comes from relying on the practice material for real books, a tax return or an exam.
- If we are at fault, what we owe you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before.
- Nothing here limits our responsibility where the law does not allow it to be limited, such as for death or injury caused by our carelessness, or for fraud.
Changes and the law that applies
We may change these terms as the product changes. If a change matters to something you have paid for, we will tell you by email first. These terms are under the law of England and Wales, and its courts decide any dispute, unless the law where you live gives you the right to use your own courts. How we handle your details is in the privacy notice.
