ROUND, ROUNDUP and ROUNDDOWN
Round a figure to pence or to a whole number, and choose between ROUND, ROUNDUP and ROUNDDOWN for the job in hand.
Task 1ROUND4 questions
ROUND changes a number to a set number of decimal places. =ROUND(C2,2) rounds the value in C2 to two places, which is pounds and pence.
ROUND looks at the next digit along. If it is 5 or more the figure goes up, and if it is 4 or less the extra digits are just dropped.
With 0 as the second part, ROUND gives a whole number. Column C below is the VAT at 20% on column B, before any rounding.
