SUMIF adds the numbers on the rows that pass a test. It has three parts, split by commas.
- Range to test
- the cells that are checked, such as C2:C7
- Test
- what to look for, such as "Asha"
- Range to add
- the cells that are added up, such as D2:D7
=SUMIF(C2:C7,"Asha",D2:D7) reads: where column C says Asha, add the amount in column D.
