IFERROR: what to show when a formula fails
A formula that divides by zero shows an error. IFERROR swaps the error for a value you choose, and it can hide more than you meant.

Some formulas cannot be worked out. Dividing by zero, or by an empty cell, is the most common case.
The cell then shows an error code that starts with a hash sign, such as #DIV/0! for a divide by zero. Any formula that uses that cell shows the error too.
