Ask your employer to pay
Many employers have a training budget. Here is a letter to send, and the facts your manager will ask for.
The letter
Copy it into an email to your manager. Fill in the two names in square brackets, and change anything you like.
Dear [name], I would like to use Ledger Drill to build my bookkeeping skills for my work. It is hands-on practice: 365 short rooms across 13 paths, where I post real entries, reconcile accounts and work through VAT and payroll, and every answer is marked at once. Premium opens all of it, with timed mock exams. It costs £120 a year, or £12 a month and can be cancelled at any time. Could this come from the training budget? It is practice rather than a qualification, so it would sit alongside any course I take. You can see what it covers at ledgerdrill.com/pricing. Thank you, [your name]
What your manager will want to know
- Premium is £120 a year, or £12 a month. A month can be cancelled at any time.
- It opens all 365 rooms in 13 paths, every mock exam and every question pack.
- Bought on the website, each invoice is in your account: open Manage billing. Bought in the Android app, Google Play emails a receipt.
- It is practice, not a qualification and not tax or accounting advice. Ledger Drill is independent and not affiliated with AAT.
For a whole team
If several people at your firm or college would use it, team plans are being planned, with one invoice for everyone.
